Garden State

A Courtyard Full of Beer and Food Stands

Somewhere in the world, a beer garden is born every three seconds.

In fact, while you were just reading that sentence, another came into existence.

And it has a 35-foot LED TV attached to it.

Presenting BeerParc, a sun-exposed courtyard that’s filled with seasonal brews, an array of food stands and the single largest television screen in the city not affixed to a scoreboard, opening next Wednesday in Chelsea.

At this point, we assume you can handle yourself in a 12,000-square-foot plot of tap beer and Germanic fare. So we’ll skip over outlining Bavarian Pretzel Dipping 101 and instead expound on more pertinent information, like how to find the place.

What you’re looking for: a food court. Specifically, the one connected to the Eventi Hotel and not the one with a Sbarro. Walk in the front. Walk out the back. And you’ll be surrounded by 10 taps of rotating microbrews, the olfactory sensation of a Fatty ’Cue Beef Brisket Sandwich and a near life-size reproduction of the Yankee game. Pinstripes: not so slimming on a three-story projection screen.

Once you’ve gotten accustomed to carrying a growler of Radeberger Pilsner in one hand and a Grilled Cheddarwurst from Edi & the Wolf’s stand in the other, you’ll want to set about trying to find a spot with an ideal viewing angle for the mammoth TV.

Anywhere in an 11-mile radius should probably work.
