Airport Parking, Now for Profit

None Airport parking. Gotta love it.

Think about it. It’s completely free. Sometimes, even profitable.

Wait. You look... confused...

Oh, that’s because we haven’t told you about FlightCar, a new service that lets you rent your vehicle to (prescreened) strangers instead of letting it sit idly in an airport parking lot, available now in San Francisco with plans to expand soon.

What this is: a very reasonable way of making easy money for doing practically nothing. What this isn’t: anything like that scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off where the valet takes Cameron’s dad’s Ferrari on a spectacular joyride. At least we hope not.

Assuming you’re intrigued, you’ll simply visit their website, input your travel dates, tell them about your car/truck/motorcycle with sidecar and... that’s it. You’re done. If someone rents your car, they’ll undergo a thorough driving history check, and you’ll get up to 10 bucks per rental day—plus a car wash before you return. Even if nobody rents your car, you’re still guaranteed free airport parking. And who doesn’t love free parking.

And since they’ll comprehensively insure your car up to $1 million, you’ve really got nothing to lose.

Well, except for your ability to trust.
