Santo at Gulfstream

Santo Baby

A Lincoln Road Club Heads North

None
August in Miami is a quiet time: the causeways are empty. Tumbleweed blows down Ocean Drive. Marlins home games are silent-er.

Best thing you can do for a little action: head to Hallandale, where a South Beach club is taking its sexy Latin rock, gorgeous women and luscious red-booth talents to Gulfstream.

Introducing Santo at Gulfstream, a super-caliente nightclub at Gulfstream Park, opening this Friday for your weekend cocktailing, live music and late-night cha cha-ing needs.

Designed to be a northern sibling of the Lincoln Road spot that was a hit before it closed three months ago, Santo is where you’ll go when you’re looking for a little elegant Latin debauchery framed by vaulted ceilings, graffiti murals and a giant antique bookshelf behind the bar. (It feels a bit like a Vatican library crossed with a Mexico City rock club… you know, that old vibe.)

Grab a drink at the front bar and settle into a red-leather banquette with your Paulina Rubio lookalike. And when the rhythm starts to get you (or the rum), wander out on the dance floor, where the Santo house band will be Gipsy King-ing their way through live Latin hits and pop rock on the weekends.

You never miss a chance to Gipsy King it.
