Secret Service

An Oscar’s-Backed Barbershop/Party Space

An entire roasted pig.

And just a little off the sides.

Sounds like a party.

The kind that happens at Service & Supply, a new barbershop with a private events venue designed by Venice Beach Wines/Clutch/Cerveteca owner Oscar Hermosillo, now open on Lincoln. (Check out the slideshow.)

We’re talking two separate but conjoined businesses here. Up front, a modern men’s barbershop cast in the classic mold. The white-subway-tile-and-striped-pole variety where you’ll take a vintage chair and something cold to drink while a respected coiffeur goes all Edward Scissorhands on you.

Surrounding this is an enchanted outdoor courtyard with a small side lounge filled with vintage motorcycles and a rare Ford. They’re currently calling this the Clutch Annex. It’s a work in progress.

But it’s yours to rent now. You could do a wine dinner for 49 friends while Oscar’s team smokes a whole hog. Or maybe you’ll throw a 140-person launch party. Project some footage on the 120-inch screen while a DJ plays and everyone gets cleaned up in a barber chair. Whatever it is, they’ll work with you to customize the whole thing.

Now, if only someone had something to launch in Venice these days.
