Curtains up on Terrine, a charming new brasserie with beaucoup patio, now taking reservations for its December 12 debut.
It’s from Picca/Faith & Flower cofounder Stephane Bombet and former Ray’s chef Kris Morningstar, who linked up to address their concerns that your dates don’t have enough wood-fired pizza and historic patio. Their solution: this antique-silver-laden, white-brick neighborhood spot in the old Pane e Vino spot. Yeah. That patio. (See the slideshow and the menu.)
There’s a copper-topped bar on the right when you enter. So in a post–Beverly Center pinch, you could stop by anytime for a glass of French red and fish-and-chips.
But more likely, you and a date’ll be headed outside for dinner or, on weekends, a... late-night dinner. You’ll be ordering Rob Roys. You’ll be pondering if it’s the right time for a big, shareable pork terrine, chicken-fried ribs or a potato pizza with Benton’s bacon and smoked cheddar.
Surprise, it is.
