Sometimes, when you’re out there in the world, you’ve got to step inside of your comfort zone. Yes, inside. Like when you’re at one of these new hotels with names that you probably already know. Like Nobu. And Soho House. And you get the point.
Given Soho House’s track record, you’d fully expect the one in Istanbul to have a rooftop pool, a games room and a late-night stage for live music. You’d also want it to have a self-serve candy bar. And this doesn’t end with you disappointed.
In a strange turn of events, Nobu just opened a hotel in Manila on a property with five casino areas, two nightclubs and a bar with a center stage for light shows and live performances. Right, and there’s also a Nobu in familiar restaurant form there. So maybe not so strange.
You’ve just gotten to Istanbul. You’re entering a 140-year-old building that’s now helmed by the people behind Delano and Mondrian. You’re putting your bags down in a massive penthouse. You’re dining in a restaurant with an expansive Turkish wine collection. You’re taking it from here.
Maybe you know Aman from their resorts near the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone (Amangiri and Amangani, respectively). Maybe you’d like to know Aman from their first city location, in Tokyo, which happens to have traditional soaker tubs next to floor-to-ceiling windows. Maybe not. We’re not mind readers.
If you have to stay in Saint Lucia, you might as well do so in a newly renovated resort that faces a marina. One that’s equipped with private plunge pools in the suites. One that lets you charter boats should you want to go snorkeling. If you want to make the most of it or whatever.
