Don’t look now, but hockey and basketball seasons start pretty soon.

Also: rooftop-and-whiskey-before-and-after-hockey-and-basketball-games season. That’s nearly upon us, too.

Fortunately, there’s Bar Deco, a multilevel emporium of smoked meats, sports and alfresco imbibing, soft-open now directly across from Verizon Center.

Yes, this limestone art deco building was once a Coyote Ugly. Never mind that. Just take a look at the slideshow. Then allow us to guide you through this place, floor by floor:

First Floor
You are: Staring into the stack of hardwood at the entrance, and into the roaring fire in the kitchen as you head upstairs.
You’re having: Hunger pangs.

Second Floor
You are: Congregating with a big group at a communal table.
You’re having: Smoked-and-fried local pork ribs, smoked linguine with trout and maybe a bison burger.

Third Floor
You are: Arriving just before kickoff and positioning yourself along the 50-foot zinc bar to get the best views of the dozen TVs.
You’re having: Bacon-infused bourbon, swordfish-pastrami sandwiches and poutine.

Fourth Floor
You are: Early for the hockey game.
You’re having: Open-air drinks at an umbrella table, like the Backyard Martini, with cachaça, vodka, muddled wheatgrass and cayenne.

But no umbrella drinks. Not on hockey day.
