Shirts and Blazers for Less Than Usual

The calendar says fall is approaching. So let’s believe it for a minute, and then let’s go see those haberdashers at Knot Standard. Because they’ve knocked 20% off a package deal of these bespoke things: one blazer, two pairs of dress pants and a couple shirts. Don’t wear them all at once.

Bratwurst Delivery. Finally.
BRAT PAT

Bratwurst Delivery. Finally.

When you want German food, you go to Kuby’s. It’s been that way for 50 years. Except now, they’re delivering. So when you want German food, you’ll continue sitting on your couch as bratwursts, smoked venison sausages and red cabbage come straight to your door. You still have to answer the door.

A Dance Party in Klyde Warren Park
ON DECK

A Dance Party in Klyde Warren Park

The park is a place for quiet reflection, shaded lunches and the occasional frisbee session. Unless you’re attending Decks in the Park tonight at Klyde Warren Park. In that case, it’s a place for people to congregate and drink beer as DJs produce noises that make people dance. Totally different scenario.

Saturday
A Super-Spicy Donut. Good Luck.
HOT HOT HEAT

A Super-Spicy Donut. Good Luck.

Donuts: good. Peppers: good. So logic dictates that a donut topped with habaneros, jalapeños and ghost peppers should be good. Probably. You’d better hope so if you’re entering the Beat the Heat challenge at Hypnotic on Saturday. First to eat five wins. Or “wins.”

Sunday
Drinking a Bunch of Homebrews
BREWHAHA

Drinking a Bunch of Homebrews

On Sunday, more than 40 local homebrewers will be pouring their stuff at Deep Ellum Brewing Company. Throw in some food trucks (Pompeii, Easy Slider) and a little live music in the beer garden, and you’ve got yourself an afternoon. Plus a small chance of going blind.
