Art of Glass
Dancing and Neon in Uptown

This Friday, you’ll be forced to make a bold decision—one that will haunt you forever (or until Saturday morning).

To dance. Or not to dance.

Actually, the decision has been made: you dance.

Introducing Glass, opening this Friday to be your flashy new den of neon and dancing in Uptown.

Now, if you’re going to grace a dance floor with your presence, well, you have some demands: a full bar, air-conditioning and flashy lights. Lots of flashy lights. Ideally, inside a glass building that’s lined by four neon-lit palm trees flown in straight from the set of Miami Vice (we assume).

Slide past the black velvet rope and step into the main room, awash in LED lights, three gold chandeliers and two massive blue eyes projected on the wall. There’s a gold-tiled bar in the back (behind the tables that look like huge ice cubes). In roughly T minus three cocktails, you’ll be showcasing your break-dancing skills. (Watch out for the banquettes.) Afterward, unwind in the side room, surrounded by glass walls, preferably in the massive S-shaped booth with a dance partner eager to discuss choreography.

One other thing: past the DJ booth you’ll notice some stairs. Come August they’ll lead you to Revive, a Vegas-inspired rooftop with three pools, 17 South Beach–style bungalows and one poolside massage therapist.

Pool parties can be very stressful.
