Right This Way for Fried Clam Chowder

So JM Curley just started offering clam chowder fritters as a limited special. Yep, just some fried balls of clam chowder served in a cast-iron pan. Our scientists confirm that that was a great f**king idea.

Available through Dec 21 at JM Curley, 21 Temple Pl, 617-338-5333

Girl Scout Cookies as Spiked Milkshakes

We say, “New spiked milkshakes at Burger Dive.” You say, “It’s cold outside and those have been done before.” Well, hey. Just... hey. These ones come in previously undiscovered flavors like Campfire, Applejack and Girl Scout Cookie. So stop saying things like you just said and drink them already.

Available now at Burger Dive, 702 Assembly Square Dr, Somerville, 617-628-3300

And Suddenly It Became a Noodle Bar

This Friday night, mild-mannered Vietnamese sandwich shop Bon Me transforms into its mysterious alter ego called Noodle Bar. That’s when it becomes a sit-down joint serving a bunch of test-run noodle soup dishes. All the best alter egos involve pork broth udon.

Dec 20 (future dates to be announced), 5-8pm, Bon Me, 1 Kendall Sq, Cambridge, 617-989-9804

The Roaring ’20s. Bars required passwords, hats were big, and mind-bending circus acrobatics were just everywhere. At least that’s the interpretation at Oberon’s Speakeasy Circus, a speakeasy that’s also a show full of jazz and circus spectacles that also becomes a late-night dance party. It was a simpler time.

Another New Brunch. That Okay?

Reports from Brookline indicate that Fairsted Kitchen’s brunch program is fully operational. They are in possession of cured fish, duck-fat potato pancakes and brunch cocktails named for characters from The Breakfast Club. And they’re not negotiating.
