A moment of silence, please.

For Audubon Circle, beloved bar and restaurant. 1996-2014. Lest we forget...

Okay, moment’s over. Now get ready for Audubon, a total reboot of the Fenway classic by the crew behind Trina’s Starlite Lounge, now open.

So Audubon Circle only closed in March, but its successor has arrived just in time for opening day.

And with that, let’s take a look at the old and the new...

Then: A sleek chamber of wood and steel featuring a famously pointy slate table and a single TV.
Now: Mostly the same, but you’ll find a steel drinking rail in place of that vaguely threatening “point” (look for its tip behind the bar). Oh, and a 500% increase in the number of TVs.

Then: A trusty bastion of post-game beer.
Now: Eight taps still flow with local brew, but there’s an entirely new cocktail menu and tweaked Trina’s imports like the genever-and-St.-Elder Shaddock.

Then: Sandwiches and classic bar fare like ribs.
Now: Pork muffulettas and non-classic bar fare like flounder grilled inside a corn husk with sticky rice and chimichurri sauce. Say “chimichurri” out loud. Fun. Moving on...

Then: A backyard bamboo garden.
Now: A backyard bamboo garden, reopening in May.

Owners come and go, but bamboo is forever.
