Highland Tap Is a Little Different Now

Highland Tap just reopened after getting a little face-lift. Don’t worry, it’s mainly still the same place you’ve known and loved for the last 25 years. But there’s a new 22-tap system now (it was six before). And a lobster burger on the menu. And, like, new carpet.

Now reopen, Highland Tap, 1026 N Highland Ave, 404-875-3673

There Are So Very Many Desserts in Here

Irish cream marshmallows. Cake truffles. French macarons. Whoopie pies. Red velvet cupcakes... Oh, those? Those are just things you can get at this tiny, new grab-and-go shop in Avondale Estates that’s painted to look like an actual cake. We’re sorry and you’re welcome.

Saturday
First: Jeans. Then: Ping-Pong.
WHEN IN CHROME

First: Jeans. Then: Ping-Pong.

Chrome Yellow opened. Then it closed. Then it went online. And now it’s having a weekend-long pop-up. Go for the canvas-and-leather rucksacks, Raleigh Denim jeans and beard oil from Prospector Co. Stay for the after-party with Three Taverns and ping-pong. Then leave and grab dinner somewhere.

Sunday
Porchetta. Live Music. Beer. No. 246.
NOW YOU NO.

Porchetta. Live Music. Beer. No. 246.

No. 246 is turning three (they grow up so fast). And to celebrate, they’re having a little thing with porchetta, more ping-pong and live music from a three-piece Americana band. Also, Terrapins that’ll cost you $2.46. Good thing they didn’t name it No. 9,246.

Luau at Victory. All You Need to Know.

On Monday at work, someone will stop you.
—They’ll say: “I feel like you recently went to a party with a roasted pig and a makeshift tiki bar on a patio.”
—You’ll say: “I was at Victory’s luau yesterday. Things got great.”
—They’ll say: “Sweet.”
