Bocce, Bowling and Pisco Under the Same Roof

Bocce or bowling. Shuffleboard or skee-ball. Waffle dogs or oysters. Moscow Mule slushies or...

Just stop.

Those aren’t decisions you have to make anymore.

Put on some awesome shoes for The Painted Pin, the world’s first bowling alley with lane-side, pour-your-own-beer taps, and probably not the first with indoor bocce, late-night DJs and classic cocktails... but still. It’s now open in Buckhead.

Once upon a time, the Spence’s former sommelier and a retired financial advisor decided that this place should exist. So they filled a giant warehouse with 20 bowling lanes, chesterfield couches and an indoor courtyard with moss plants and gas lanterns. And you leisured happily ever after.

Show up with some friends after work tonight. Grab a booth and have some fried-oyster sliders with a round of pisco sours. That’d be fun. But definitely go back late one weekend (they’re open until 2am) when they’ll have a DJ. Just do whatever feels right. Ping-pong. Skee-ball. Bocce. Shuffleboard. All of the above.

Ah, right. Bowling. You’ll want to do some of that, too. Make sure you request one of the lanes in the semiprivate room with the pour-your-own-beer tap system so you can... pour your own beers.

Just seems like something you’d want to do.
