Using a telescope typically means pointing it upward and hoping to land on something unique.

You can find the moon, maybe a constellation, but after that, all those stars begin to look alike.

So what you need is a telescope that's smart, so you don't have to be.

The new Unistellar Odyssey is a smart, portable telescope that lets users observe nearby planets and deep-sky objects millions of lightyears away. And, best of all, it will help you locate those objects and then tell you what you're looking at.

Unistellar released two products, the Odyssey and Odyssey Pro. Both were created in collaboration with Nikon, so you know the optics are good.

According to the company, these models are the first mirror telescopes that don't require manual adjustments, something that's difficult for most amateur stargazers. Instead, the telescopes use a smart algorithm and autofocus system to do that work for you. And the multi-depth technology lets you switch seamlessly between near and far objects, a feature you won't find in most telescopes.

Objects can be viewed directly through the device or viewed on and saved to your phone or tablet via the corresponding app. Using the sky catalog, you can find and observe more than 5,000 objects, from planets like Jupiter to nebulae and galaxies millions of lightyears away.

Galileo was called a heretic for positing that the earth revolved around the sun.

Now you can finally confirm if he was right.
