In the canon of western literature, some names stand alone.

Don Quixote.

Dante’s Inferno.

This coffee-table book about nice butts.

It’s called 100 Cheeks and it’s packed with photos of vintage jeans and the posteriors they shield from the elements. It’s available now and it’s totally relevant to the Fourth of July, because we say so. Check out the slideshow.

Procure a copy and see what this tome will do. Mostly just perch on your coffee table being intriguing to others. With notable frequency, a guest hanging out at your place will then say something like, “Is that a book about butts on your coffee table?”

And you’ll explain with some variation on the following:

“That is actually New York artist Kava Gorna’s pictorial ode to denim, which therein demonstrates how a well-worn pair of jeans reveals the saga of a woman’s style choices and journey. She shot friends and acquaintances, who happen to include Jemima Kirke from Girls, in an attempt to detail the inherent beauty and amassed ravages of jeans, thereby capturing their snug, clasping forms, distress and distinctiveness.

"But you, sir, may refer to it as a mere ‘book about butts’ if you prefer.”
