Welcome to StarDeck at Estate Ultra Bar, a sunny new rooftop playground in the mold of South Beach’s finer outdoor establishments, now open in River West.
You may already be familiar with Estate, which opened this year in the former Life’s Too Short space. It’s proven to be a nice escape when you need the basics: a Tuesday night lobster mac and cheese or a Sunday afternoon champagne brunch. But that was apparently just a practice run for... eating mac and cheese and holding champagne brunches on a rooftop. So you should be ready.
Now you’ll head straight to the roof, where you and friends can loiter amid potted palms on low-slung orange sofas as you’re cooled by a gentle breeze wafting in off the river. And if there’s no gentle breeze: just be cooled by some fresh oysters and order The Hampton (gin, muddled blackberries, peach bitters) with extra ice.
