Looking better than everyone else on the slopes isn’t your end goal. It’s more of a by-product of knowing where to find the best Sherpa jackets and old-school ski goggles and stuff. Which... hey. You don’t need to channel the rugged looks and bravado of a Sherpa. Sometimes you just want to. So here: Sherpa jacket. It’s got an impenetrable canvas shell and was designed to weather any snowstorm. The inner lining is soft in all the right places, too. Which, turns out, is everywhere.
Skiing. Boarding. Heli-skiing-and-boarding. These are things that’ll go a lot smoother when you’re wearing a waterproof twill anorak jacket. Something that uses microfibers and science to make you all warm and fuzzy and handsome. Not necessarily in that order.
Here’s the thing about weekend bags: most of them aren’t dyed with ash in the Korean countryside and then stitched together in Seoul out of nubuck leather, Korean silk and antique nickel hardware. But this one is. And that’s got to count for something.

A really nice Vietnam-era lighter. That’s what this is. It’s got a patina that lets everyone know what it’s been through, a patriotic etching of an eagle and a reference to the battle of Ban Me Thuot. So, basically, Full Metal Jacket: the lighter.
