A Most Excellent New Tasting Room in Yountville

As you’re already planning on going to Napa this weekend, you’ll be pleased to hear that Stewart Cellars’ new Yountville grand tasting hall is now open. So are their reservations-only, bohemian, bookstore-like Heritage Library and in-house café. Should keep you busy for, say, three or so days.

Us: There’s nothing better than settling in for a marathon of Hitchcock’s finest, like To Catch a Thief, Vertigo and Rear Window.
You: Except maybe doing that in front of a big screen at a classic San Francisco movie theater like the Balboa.

And Here We Have Your Long-Weekend Brunch Plans

Fiorella, that winner of a pizza-and-pasta spot in the Richmond, now serves brunch. They’ve got crostini topped with farmer cheese and avocado, smoked deviled eggs and a pork saltimbocca, which is pork wrapped in prosciutto. And pizza. And pasta. And this ends now.

An All-Vinyl Throwback Dance Party on Treasure Island

You like: vinyl, ’90s music and all-day dance parties at semisecret locations. You’ll get: all of those things on Treasure Island this Saturday afternoon. The party’s courtesy of Beatdown Sundaze, and they’ll announce the location day-of. Great. Nothing left to do but dance, then.

Of Course There’s a Taco Party in Wine Country

Considering it’s Labor Day weekend, it’s pretty much required that you go to a wine-adjacent party with some tacos and a DJ. Good thing the Meritage in Napa’s having one this Sunday with a whole roasted pig, cochinita-pibil-style, a DJ and drinks. Just following the rules here.

Lauren Sloss requires a climate that allows her to wear motorcycle boots daily. She likes her bourbon neat and her martinis dirty, and would like to be the lead singer of a punk rock band when she grows up.
