Kim Alter’s restaurant is the main attraction here. She’s focusing on a five-course tasting menu that will change about once a week. Expect anything from lobster with heart of palm and chanterelles to rabbit with peach and summer squash. Expect good things.
It’s an attractive space with a subtle bird theme and gold lining the walls. Sliding into your cushy banquette, you and your date will note that the intimate little room just feels... right. You’ll note it good.
But before all that noting happens, swing by the Linden Room, a seven-seat cocktail lounge with a gold-lit bar and Art Deco touches that could be straight out of the Palace Hotel circa 1934. Grab a frozen Vieux Carre or a Ralphie Boy with whiskey, peach, tarragon and smoked egg white. Have a laugh. Spin a yarn.
