It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.

But if you’ve won said game 11 times... well.

Maybe it’s a tiny bit about the win.

You’ll see what we mean at Little Tony’s, a titan of a pie joint from one of the world’s most winningest pizza champions, now open at Palace Station. (See the slideshow.)

Tony Gemignani. He’s the guy behind the pizza here. And he’s won a world pizza championship 11 times.

So when you enter this Prohibition-era-style spot of gold-trimmed tables, chandeliers and red brick, you shouldn’t expect sashimi. You should expect pizzas. Damn good pizzas.

You’ll get comfortable in one of the cushy red booths. A server will bring you a gratis cup of their Pasta Fazool. Then, you’ll skim over the menu. Meatballs, sure. Pasta... that’s nice. But what you’re looking for is the New York–style and Chicago-cast-iron pies topped with things like smoked vodka cream sauce and hot coppa.

Oh, and they’ve also got over 90 different whiskeys on hand. Which you can choose to consume in a flight, by creating your own Old Fashioned or in one of the cocktails on tap.

There’s no championship at stake.

Just get what you want.
