Three-day weekend.

Three ways to use this place.

Coincidence?

Only time will tell at Sawyer, an attractive new spot for patio seafood and drinks to drink with it, now open in Silver Lake. Oh, look, a slideshow.

Inside looks good. It’s a bright dining room accented with tile, funky chandeliers, a portrait of a young Bob Dylan and an attached location of Clover juice bar. But there’s more than tile and juice.

And here’s how you’ll use its powers for good...

For early happy hours.
They’re three hours long here. Every day. And Devin Espinosa of ink. designed the drinks for that corner bar. Also, there are fried-chicken sandwiches. So to not be here would simply be inadvisable.

For warming up various bones.
That’s a job for the roaring fireplace on the olive-and-birch-tree-shaded back patio, where you’ll order soft-shell-crab sandwiches, oysters by the dozen and duck-fat popovers for the table. Decisions everyone around you will celebrate for ages to come.

For meals that aren’t exactly breakfast or lunch.
Brunch starts next Saturday. The patio will be breezy. The tacos will contain lingcod. The eggs on your duck confit hash will be served sunny-side up.

A general theme will be sunny.
