Indoor Food Trucks and Many Beers in Southie

We see those post–Labor Day tears.

And we’re going to wipe them right off with Coppersmith, an ambitiously giant establishment where you’ll eat fried-chicken sandwiches and ponder the paradox of the indoor food truck, opening Friday in South Boston.

In 1894, this was a copper foundry. Now, it’s a beer hall with 22-foot ceilings and smoked pork chops (here’s the menu). It also houses two stationary food trucks serving separate, weekly changing menus. And come Monday, it’ll have a rooftop patio with an Airstream-turned-bar. Nice start.
