Make Pizzas Anywhere

A New Gadget for Cooking Pizzas on Stoves and Over Campfires

Watching the final round of the Masters on your couch and sitting around a roaring campfire are two very different activities. But they do have one thing in common:

They’d both benefit from a nice pizza.

That’s the basic genesis behind Ironate, a portable cooking gizmo that lets you make pizza anywhere there’s a heat source—stove top, grill, open flame—and it’s available online now for your mealtime amusement.

There are plenty of things to cook pizza on. But this one’s got the rare combination of being portable (no one wants to lug around an oven while camping) and working on a variety of surfaces. Plus, it gets really, really hot. Like 840 degrees hot, even if you’re just cooking on your stove at home, which typically tops out at 400.

That extra heat happens because this thing’s made from special steel that emulates a brick oven and soaks up energy. And the cover helps to radiate even more intense heat into the crust and toppings. All that means you’ll go from raw dough to perfectly crisped pizza in just three minutes. Everyone’s got three minutes.

Technically, it’s not only for pizzas, as you can also use it to quickly cook steaks, fish, potatoes, frittatas...

Whatever your favorite pre-pizza appetizer may be.
