Your Perks: 1) A drone that fits in the palm of your hand. Which is a bad thing in no way. 2) Tom Ford sunglasses that’ll shield your eyes from other sunglasses that aren’t Tom Ford. And the sun, of course. 3) Underwear that’s way better than regular underwear. Thanks to science.
Things to do for July 30, 2015
Brunch, Marilyn and 3,000 Pounds of Meat
Weekend or do not. There is no try.
How to Prep for Outside Lands
Here’s something to get you ready for Outside Lands: tonight’s pre-party at Azalea. You’ll drink drinks. Listen to live music. Eat something chocolaty from Choco-Lands. Maybe acquire a sweater. And fine, it’s like a pre-pre-pre-party.
Lunch at Mourad. Brunch at Belga.
For weekday power lunching: Head to Mourad’s (pictured) new lunch for Basteeya duck,
braised lamb and other powerful things.
For leisurely weekend brunching: Belga allows that now. Sit outside. Have a beer. Eat a beignet. Feel decidedly more Belgian.
Thanks for going to that Hayes Valley Wings + Horns S/S 2016 trunk show last summer and picking up all those smashing jackets and sweaters and things. Really appreciate your foresight and good taste on that. Take care.
It’s basically an endless meat feast at Charles Krug, with over 50 chefs from restaurants like SPQR and Press serving up 3,000 pounds of roast lamb and grilled goat and guinea hen/rabbit tacos. See. Meat feast.
And this is the part about a fleeting gallery exhibit with some rare Marilyn Monroe photos. The slightly censored Let’s Make Love photos. The unpublished nudes from the Red Velvet session photos. The other Marilyn Monroe photos. Might be worth a visit. Just might.
