Playing Haus

This Austrian Chalet Means Everything

None 16 Photos Überhaus Lech
The Olympics end tomorrow.

Done. All over.

Our suggestion for your next fix of wintry wonderment: Better Off Dead.

Oh, and this place...

Überhaus Lech, a new ski-in, ski-out chalet in Austria that’s basically a big wooden playhouse filled with massage rooms and private theaters and wine caves (one of each, at least), taking reservations now.

You: “If you’re going to call yourself an ‘Überhaus,’ you better be prepared to back it up.”

Überhaus:
“—Outdoor hot tubs
Indoor hammam
—On-call masseuses
—Game room
—Subterranean wine cellar
—Library that smells of rich mahogany”

Right. So once you show up with up to 15 of your people, a bottle of champagne will be popped in your honor. Maids will whisk your belongings to a balcony-equipped suite. A chef will insist on cooking you a five-course dinner. You’ll twirl around with your arms out and sing adult-contemporary songs.

Don’t forget to meet up with your personal ski instructor, though. For two days, he’ll assist you in challenging the champagne-powdered runs right outside your door.

Other than that, it’s just a house, really.
