Bull Moose
A Sexy New Lodge in the Austrian Alps
We forget if it was R. Kelly or William Butler Yeats who said this, but it’s true:
After the party is the after-party. And after the after-party... the hotel lobby.
And, well, we just found the best new after-after-party spot in the Alps...
Which brings us to
The Mooser Hotel, a massive new lodge above the Austrian Alps’
rowdiest après bar, now open for your carousing pleasure.
Now, let’s be clear—this is a great spot to ski. It’s carved into St. Anton, home to jaw-dropping
4,500-foot verticals and all the piste/cat/heli-skiing you can handle. Hell, there’s even a nighttime
toboggan run.
But your focus is on the après. You’ll start with the famously decadent MooserWirt Bar—where ski
bunnies have been known to head
to the roof for a little post-slopes dancing.
Then, to your suite, which vaguely resembles a Russian oligarch’s stag party before the Russian oligarchs
get there—steam showers, sheepskin rugs, that kind of thing. All you need for a little
après-après.
When hunger strikes, head up to the attic restaurant for hearty helpings of ox carpaccio, pumpkin soup and,
of course, the requisite wiener schnitzel. Properly sated, you’ll hit the spa for a few laps in the
infinity pool, built into a gorge overlooking the entire mountain.
Remember to wait 30 minutes after the schnitzel...
