Gracing the deli counter at Duc Loi market are the guys from Mission Street Food, serving up 1/3-pound burgers made of brisket, short ribs, and chuck and seared in beef fat. There's also a vegan burger, but if you're looking to get your veggies, we recommend the fries.

Batter Bakery Kiosk Now Open

Flowers, chocolate and cupcakes are surefire ways to impress a woman (along with your charming wit, of course). So this pop-up bakery in a former flower stand has your back. Pick up cupcakes and brownies for her, then snag a few secret-recipe Sand Angels (a snickerdoodle/molasses cookie hybrid) for the road.

In honor of this Italian feast day, there'll be a whole pig roasted in a Cuban La Caja China box (the Cadillac of roasting boxes), along with grilled Padrón peppers, sausages, and the usual menu of pizza and salads and plenty of vino. Then take a cue from the Italians and extend the celebration for the entire month.
