“Michael Mina Pop-Up.” Nice Ring to It.

There’s this new pop-up dinner series at the Café Claude spot in the Marina, and Michael Mina and his team will have full reign over the kitchen. Which means za’atar-cured salmon flatbreads are happening. And harissa-marinated chicken is happening. And hummus is happening. This means so much is happening.

THE BEE’S JAPANESE

This Here? It’s a Sake Subscription.

Sake Gumi /sah-kee-guh-mi/ (n): the new monthly sake subscription from the Umami Mart team. Used in an unnecessarily dramatic sentence:

“I just received a handpicked assortment of extremely exotic and highly allocated Japanese- and US-made sakes. I am enjoying this life very much. Thanks, Sake Gumi.”

A Damn Good Excuse to Get a New Bike

It’s just about time for Public to fill a warehouse with about 100 of last year’s test bikes and sample bikes and bikes with small cosmetic blemishes and then release them to you for exceptionally low prices. Just about that time.

Jul 25, 10am-2pm, Public, 205 Alice St (at 2nd), Oakland

Paddleboarding Demos Are Probably Fun

So these stand-up paddleboard guys are doing a demo day in China Camp State Park. Meaning you can basically just show up and float around on any number of attractive paddleboards, then take one home if you want. Although the exchanging of currency is highly encouraged first.
