The Del Popolo truck’s popping up at the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen tomorrow. What will be there:
pizza, of course, and beers from Linden Street and Pac Brew Labs. What won’t be there: grilled cheese. Oh,
the irony.
The Union Square spot just got revitalized/reconcepted, with a new lounge-oriented focus. You’ll find a
raw bar, small bites like ahi tuna poppers and Asian-influenced drinks like the gin/elderflower
Concubine. Actual concubines: you’re on your own for those.

Rappelling Down a Hotel in Union Square
You and Ethan Hunt have a lot in common. Okay, that’s not true, but you do have this: rappelling off of
buildings. Your version: a 425-foot drop off the roof of the Grand Hyatt, which comes with a donation to
Special Olympics Northern California. Playing the Mission: Impossible theme: optional.

MAMAN MIA
French-Mexican Food, It’s a Thing
Imagine a ménage à trois with you, Marion Cotillard and Salma Hayek. We’ll give you a minute. Now add
food to the equation. Now subtract Marion and Salma. What you’re left with: this place, the Potrero
bistro’s new sister restaurant, serving up mussels, crepes and... quesadillas. Okay, you can add Marion
and Salma back now.
The views at the Mark’s penthouse bar: panoramic. So panoramic, in fact, that you can see Washington, DC,
from there. Well, kind of—they’re screening Hollywood classics with popcorn, gratis wine and that epic
martini list. Next up: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. You love a good filibuster.

Tuesdays through Sep 4, wine tasting 5:30pm, movie 7:30pm, Top of the Mark, 1 Nob
Hill (at California), 415-616-6916
