This week, Perks is giving you the rock star treatment at Lollapalooza: 20% off your stay at the Hard Rock
Hotel Chicago, liberal use of their Gibson loaner guitars, gratis bottles and exclusive access to the
after-parties. Also: you’ll get 40% off your next purchase of six scotch chocolate bars. You can get
behind just about anything when the words scotch and bar are involved.
In true pirate fashion, Luce chef Dominique Crenn is invading Lafitte to cook up four courses—one with
foie gras, popcorn, corn sorbet and truffle snow—and is bringing lots of whiskey to pair. The theme is
“Une Danse Alchemique,” so expect dancing and science. But maybe our French isn’t that great.
After a few drinks (the first one is on them), you’ll be ready to focus up for a match of Connect Four,
Jenga, Pictionary, Taboo—you name it. Since all happy hour deals apply, go ahead and up the ante with a
few drink-related challenges. And since all the proceeds go to charity, we see it as a win-win.

When you hear the word gangster, you probably think more Corleone than Siegel. But at this coming
week’s film fest, you’ll be able to cobble together at least a quadruple feature with movies like
Bugsy and Scarface starring Jewish gangsters. Or at least actors pretending to be Jewish
gangsters.

Sure, you might be wearing wool today (and we won’t talk about having to break out the parka), but that
shouldn’t stop you from enjoying a little New England summer action. The good people at PSC are promising
piles of lobster, clams and mussels with potatoes and corn on the cob—and lots of drawn butter—every
Monday. If anything, the butter will warm you up.
Not only one of the few wineries in the valley where you can actually get a full meal, this new restaurant
within the Francis Ford Coppola Winery is also where you’ll get to eat all of the director’s favorite
meals. Thankfully, the vibe is more Godfather than Apocalypse Now, but maybe that’s the
wine talking...
