Wine Tasting in a Dogpatch Warehouse

It’s Friday, so let’s keep this simple.

You’re about to get very, very thirsty. And this is the place to sate your thirst...

Say hello to the Dogpatch WineWorks Tasting Room, a new vino-drenched bar situated under the same roof where the wines were made, now open on Third Street.

First things first. Yes, this is the same Dogpatch WineWorks where you may or may not have crushed your own grapes on your way to bottling your very own vintage of cab sauv. (Your stomping skills: already legendary.)

Well, now they’re getting into the bar game. This is a spare, industrial-looking space, fully equipped for handsome wine consumption.

What you’ll notice first: the redwood bar, fashioned out of salvaged wine barrels. (Hey, when life hands you lemons...)

Go to that bar. Sit. Relax. Grab a breadstick and peruse your tasting options. (Two-ounce pour, flight, bottle... you know the drill.) Meditate deeply. Then take your pick—say, house labels like Jazz Cellars and Qualia—and your date to one of the brown-leather chesterfield sofas in the corner.

And if you happen to be there a little later this month, you can also arrange a private tasting paired with bites from nearby cheesemongers and chocolatiers.

Good cheeses make good neighbors.
