Wall-E
An Art-Obsessed New Wine Bar

The world’s greatest works of art:

Michelangelo’s David.

Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

C.M. Coolidge’s Dogs Playing Poker.

And, of course, your next glass of bordeaux.

Raise a glass to Wine & Wall, a gallery/wine bar/wine shop rolled into one, now open on Steuart.

Imagine an art gallery. Now imagine a wine shop. Now imagine the wild, unprecedented combination of the two. (Okay, galleries and wine shops actually already look kind of similar, but you get the idea.) Anyway, that’s this place.

You’ll make your way here when you want a bottle. Any bottle. Up to and including rare finds, preserved carefully by a state-of-the-art machine that uses argon to fight the effects of oxygen. (Apparently as bad for wines as it is good for you.)

And sure, any old wine shop could choose what to stock by, like, tasting the wine. And yes, they do that here. But before they narrow it down, they pick what they like based on the label. Bikini-clad biker chicks. Dogs playing... banjo. (We’re sure a poker version’s coming soon.)

Oh, and it’s all brought to you from the guys behind One Market. If you ask nicely, they’ll set up the space for a private dinner—for you and up to 89 friends.

No idea what they’ll serve for drinks.
