Gold Standard
Cocktails and Pictionary in Nob Hill
You remember school.
Chalkboards. Tetherball. Those little Norman Rockwell–looking desks.
Good times.
And while something tells us you’d prefer to keep your Trapper Keeping golden days in the past, something
also tells us you could be persuaded otherwise.
Maybe if somebody threw in some martinis and nine-ball...
Welcome
Gold Star Bar, a low-key neighborhood watering hole, now open in Nob Hill to satisfy your
considerable cocktailing, billiarding and adult-recessing needs.
The next time you have a big first date or an important meeting with a client, you’ll take them...
anywhere but here. Because this is where you’ll go with a couple buddies with a knack for pool, board
games and/or knocking back bottles of Anchor Steam.
The joint has kind of a
“Hot for Teacher”
vibe—vintage school desks where you can sit and nurse an Old Fashioned, chalkboard-lined walls where
you can doodle to your heart’s content, blonde teachers secretly rocking bikinis. (We may have made up
that last one.)
We see you coming here on random Saturdays, taking in some March Madness on the two flat-screens above the
bar, or just shooting stick with a rum/coconut
Ocean Beach in hand. But if you’re around on
Wednesday, you can partake in their inaugural Pictionary tournament.
We know how you dominate at All Play.
