Valley Girl
Napa's Newest Luxury Eco-Resort

When
it comes to getting out of the city and forgetting about things for a while, Napa is a no-brainer.
And while a day in Napa is great, a weekend is much, much better.
Which is why you should know about
Bardessono, Napa's newest eco resort, spa and restaurant,
opening Monday.
Located on a vineyard steps from the main drag in Yountville, Bardessono will be your launching pad for the
simple pleasures: great food, some vino, a soothing rubdown or two and more vino...followed by a few
cocktails (ok, maybe simple isn't the right word).
If you worry about things like your carbon footprint, you'll be glad to know that this solar-paneled
eco-enclave is deep green—platinum-rated LEED certification material right down to the indoor/outdoor
low-flow showers and organic cotton bed linens from Point Reyes.
And while the hotel's great and all, we're more into the restaurant and bar for the all-day, walk-in
accessibility. You won't be surprised that chef Sean O'Toole's (Quince, Fifth Floor) menus read like a who's
who of local farms (we like the Braised Watson's Napa Valley Lamb or Marin Sun Farms'
New York Sirloin).
Finish things off with a few cocktails drummed up by SF local and Beretta bar star Thad Vogler—go for
the one with bourbon, bitters, Italian vermouth and absinthe.
On second thought, you'll definitely want that room.
