But you've never been able to suggest the right crash pad for Devin the Greenpeace activist...until now.

Say hello to The Good Hotel, officially throwing its doors open Thursday in SoMa.

The Good Hotel is like the green, boutique offspring of Al Gore and Ian Schrager—everything is reused, energy-efficient, socially responsible, safe for the environment, safe for neighboring planets and outer galaxies. Yet sleek and modern.

Park in the lot (free if you're driving a hybrid) and enter a world filled with bright citrus colors, tables furnished from skateboards, benches crafted with felt blankets and a vending machine spitting out wallets made of old FedEx envelopes. All of it will make you feel like a cleaner, better person—and that's before you even get to the room.

The beds are made of reclaimed wood; the lamps, recycled Voss water bottles. And the piece de resistance: a sink on top of the toilet that turns on when you flush, running tap water like a fountain and draining into the tank for a totally efficient, guilt-free way to wash up.

When all that do-gooding has you hungry, head downstairs to Good Pizza for a slice of potato-and-bacon pie—locally sourced, of course—washed down with an ice-cold Peroni or two.

Maybe it is easy being green...
