Bull’s Eye
Steaks and Cocktails in the Mission
Argentines know a thing or two about the good life.
They tango all night. Consume malbec by the barrel. Eat steak like it’s some kind of edible, delicious
water.
Yeah, you should probably get in on that.
Behold:
Lolinda, a two-level shrine of steak, wine and cocktails from the Beretta/Starbelly crew,
opening next week on Mission Street.
What you have here is nothing less than a house of worship for all things Argentine. We’re talking
tufted-leather booths. Not one, but two cocktail bars. And
a huge
mural of bulls on the wall. You know, in case you don’t know what to order.
We see you coming here in a date-type situation. Say, on a date. If it’s low-key, head upstairs to the
mezzanine bar, where a vet from NYC’s esteemed Death + Company will be making Manhattans. (If you brought
multiple dates, head to the godfather booth and order family-style.)
But for a more formal occasion, stick to downstairs, grab one of those huge booths and let the enormous
steaks come to you.
Oh, and we should mention that this is the old Medjool space. Which means that in a few months, Lolinda will
be opening up that roof deck.
Which reminds us of an old saying about good things and waiting...
