Steak and Cocktailing in SoMa

It's blockbuster season.

And nothing against big screens and popcorn, but we're thinking of a different kind of blockbuster. The kind with generous pours of whiskey and steak...

We're thinking of Prospect, a long-awaited haven of hearty meals and heartier cocktails, nestled in the base of the new Infinity Towers and opening next week in SoMa.

This is basically Boulevard's younger, fun-loving sister—the atmosphere's a little breezier, the food's a little more shareable, and the cocktails... well, actually the cocktails are just as strong as ever. We're thinking of the rye and sherry-blended (and curiously phony-proof) Catcher in the Rye.

If you're closing the deal with a client, grab a seat by the floor-to-ceiling windows and talk shop over some Wagyu Beef with Smoked Potatoes. If you're closing another kind of deal, opt for the stand-alone crescent booth and treat her to some Sazeracs, a little wine on tap and shared plates of Shiso Shrimp Fritters or Pig Trotters and Lobster Salad.

Nothing says romance like pig trotters.
