The Smile Does Dinner

Already established as your go-to café/tattoo parlor/general store, The Smile is about to do one more thing: dinner. The menu is Mediterranean-heavy and features dishes like Moroccan Lamb Meatballs and Goat Cheese With Garlic and Peppercorns. Sadly, tattoo artists are no longer on hand to memorialize your favorite appetizers.

Starting tonight, The Smile, 26 Bond St (near Lafayette), 646-329-5836

A Pop-Up Shop for the Coming Storm

It's been a week of unrelenting bad weather, so a pop-up shop from the online outfitters C'H'C'M' comes at a good time. You'll stock up on country-strength, deflect-the-elements gear like leather mountain boots, hooded Mackintosh jackets and button-down shirts. It's the pop-up shop Lewis and Clark would have appreciated. (Though Clark, famously, preferred sweatpants and despised the East Village.)

Thu-Sun, 11am-8pm, C'H'C'M', 34 E First St (near Second Ave), 310-818-6335

Introducing the Doughnut Ice Cream Sandwich

You've long appreciated the subtle art of putting one junk food inside...another junk food (e.g., the Twinkie in a Popsicle). Holey Cream continues the tradition: they'll slice a doughnut in half and stuff it with their homemade ice cream. Good luck getting through airport security with this thing.

Holey Cream, 796 Ninth Ave (at 53rd St), 212-247-8400

Wilfie & Nell Launches Brunch

Brunches come and go, but Wilfie & Nell is extending its pub-grade deliciousness to the weekend in a fit of reckless generosity that includes dishes like the Bacon and Goat Cheese Sandwich and cocktails like the Spicy Bloody Mary With McClure's Pickle Juice. Finally, a reason to drag yourself out of bed at the crack of noon.

Sat-Sun, 11am-3pm, Wilfie & Nell, 228 W Fourth St (near Seventh Ave), 212-242-2990

Beer-Flavored Hot Chocolate

City Bakery's annual Hot Chocolate Festival is about to kick off, and in case you're not sure what that entails, we'd like to introduce you to Beer Hot Chocolate and its more specific cousin, Creamy Stout Hot Chocolate. Sadly, their uncle Colt 45 Ovaltine will not be in attendance.

Suckling Pig Happy Hour

Conventional restaurant wisdom says you roll out one ridiculously good deal at a time. To which Marc Forgione respectfully raises a middle finger, simultaneously introducing you to its Tuesday three-hour Suckling Pig Sliders happy hour with two-for-one beers and bottomless mimosas at its Sunday brunch. How you spend your time between Tuesday and Sunday is up to you.

Feb 2, 6-9pm, $16, brunch 11:30am-3pm, Marc Forgione, 134 Reade St (near Hudson), 212-941-9401
