PERKS

2 New Perks

In honor of your Veterans Day hangover, we're offering you a very PERK-Y MASSAGE AT EXHALE SPA, TWO FREE WEEKS AT CRUNCH GYM and an invaluable piece of advice: carrot juice. Now you know.

Friday
Open Bar at Veranda
HOOKAH HOUSE

Open Bar at Veranda

Sitting on some spacious real estate in Sheridan Square, this new Mediterranean hookah lounge answers the West Village's call for sheesha and tzatziki lamb. And to celebrate its soft opening, it's having a two-hour open bar from 9 to 11pm. But the deal's limited to drinks. Stuffed grapes leaves don't grow on trees.

No cost, 9-11pm, Veranda, 130 7th Ave (at 10th Street), 212-255-3331, see the slideshow here

Saturday
Christie's Fine Wines and Spirits Auction
BIDDING ON BOOZE

Christie's Fine Wines and Spirits Auction

For the second time since Prohibition, Christie's is putting booze on the block. The 850-lot auction is predictably long on Bordeaux and Burgundy, but you'll see bottles of Macallan, Glenlivet and Bowmore that are pushing the retirement age. And take particular note of the Double Barrel: a limited Ardbeg whisky set packed into a leather gun case. Which promises endless fun at airport security.

Sunday
Pig Dissection at Joseph Leonard
HOG WILD

Pig Dissection at Joseph Leonard

While pork belly gets all the glory, Joseph Leonard's head chef is leading culinary tours of the lesser-eaten parts. He'll break down a single pig into a six dish dinner, which, during the inaugural week, will include gnocchi with braised pig shoulder and pork-butt meatball egg-drop soup. But keep in mind: this swine's first come, first serve. So it's four pork knuckles, and they're out.

Cochon Sundays, Joseph Leonard, 170 Waverly Pl (at Grove), 646-429-8383

Monday
Pickle and Beer Tasting
BEER AND BRINE

Pickle and Beer Tasting

Rick's Picks is teaming with Brooklyn's Beer Table to pair the perfect brew with each pickled cucumber. Consider it the recessionary alternative to wine and cheese.

$35, 7-8:30pm, Beer Table, 427 B 7th Ave, Brooklyn, 718-965-1196, tickets here

Tuesday
Bouley by the Ounce
SCALE FARE

Bouley by the Ounce

Bouley Market is doing dinner for the first time ever, and they're enacting a strict new portion policy: you can only buy by the ounce. Everything from meat to caviar to sorbet will go on a scale and be priced to the ounce, starting at $5. It'll also unveil a new wine dispenser that delivers precise ounces to each glass. Tip: four ounces of Gouda pairs great with two pounds of cabernet.

Daily (except Sun), 6pm-midnight, Bouley Market, 120 W. Broadway, 212-219-1011

Wednesday
Slumber Party at the Ace Hotel
JAMMY JAM

Slumber Party at the Ace Hotel

What better way to launch a limited-edition pajamas line than a booze-fueled hotel slumber party? Expect a who's who of the art world along with DJ sets, live performances, cocktails from the Breslin and, of course, tarot card readings. Because you'll want some advance notice about who you'll be paired with during spin the bottle.
