Standard Sausages, Bacon Beer and Batali Lunching It

The weekend is going to let you finish.

PERKS

1 New Perk

This week's Perk brings you into a secretive society of well-heeled tastemakers manipulating the world from behind the scenes. (Well, the art world, at least.) Starting this week, UD members can join the Guggenheim's Young Collectors Council with reduced dues and an extra pair of gratis First Friday tickets to boot. Behave and hold any nefarious schemes for the afterparty.

70% Off at Tourneau

The city's largest chronometer palace is unloading watches, jewelry and pens offsite at staggeringly low prices, but the doors close today at 6:30, so you'll have to make the most of the next couple hours. Hopefully it won't be too hard to keep track of time...

Until 6:30pm today, 317 W. 33rd St, 718-747-1656, credit card only

Friday
Sausage and Beer at the Standard Hotel
SAUSAGEFEST

Sausage and Beer at the Standard Hotel

The High Line's upstairs neighbor is starting an outdoor beer-and-sausage bar inside its beer garden, serving pilsners and Viennese sausage in exchange for carnival-style tickets sold at a stand out front. Oh, and there might even be an all-you-can-drink beer-by-the-hour deal in your near future. (Note: that's not a challenge.) Best of all, it's just in time for Oktoberfest, which you can now celebrate with a combination of German draft beer, sausage, celeb spotting and Ping-Pong. Ah, tradition...

Opening Sept 18, 848 Washington St, 212-645-4646

SIZZLE

Bacon Beer at Per Se

The ultra-upscale prix fixer's notoriously tony tasting menu is taking an intriguingly lowbrow turn. For one night only, they're offering seven of Brooklyn Brewery's finest potions—including one brewed from Benton's Smokehouse Bacon—each paired with a perfectly suited dish. In the case of the bacon beer, that means herb-roasted rib eye steak, but part of us hopes they are keeping some beer nuts handy.

7pm, Sept 18, 10 Columbus Circle, 4th flr, reservations at 212-823-9349, see menu here

AROUND THE WORLD

Eurotrash in Brooklyn (in a Good Way)

There are many fascinating things to be found in Williamsburg parking lots after closing time, but now you can add European street food to the list. The deceptively named Eurotrash truck is currently dishing out bangers and mash, fish and chips, Swedish meatballs and Belgian frites with a Nutcracker-style lantern lighting the way. Unfortunately for haggis lovers, Scotland didn't make the cut.

Available now, 4pm-11pm, N. 3rd and Berry

Return of Bon Appétit Supper Club

Anyone with a midtown office and an uncanny ability to escape from it is about to have one hell of a lunch break. Bon Appétit's yearly pop-up boîte is showing up the usual midtown lunch spots with chefs like Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse and Daniel Boulud serving up highbrow fare like skirt steak tacos and Venetian apple cake. We feel a "client meeting" coming on.

11am-3pm, opens Sept 21, 101 W. 57th St at 6th Ave, menu items here
