Bob Dylan paints. It’s what he’s known for... after his music, his writing, his
Victoria’s-Secret-commercial starring, his subversive interviews and the occasional acting gig. Anyway,
you can check out his faux-propaganda magazine-cover silk screens here for the next couple months. It’s
like when van Gogh did that salsa record.

ASKA NOW
A Permanent Version of Frej
We won’t keep you guessing. What you get when a former Eleven Madison Park cocktail guru, Sweden and a
Williamsburg pop-up restaurant sensation come together is this: Aska. It’s a permanent spot from the Frej
guys doing mussel emulsions and smoked bone marrow. Also: housemade energy cocktails. Those Scandinavians
and their energy cocktails...
Just in case expertly made, drop-dead-handsome, sometimes-hard-to-come-by menswear perfection piques your
interest in any way, the Pop Up Flea is in Chelsea this weekend. Feel free to grab some Oak Street boots or
some Tellason jeans and chat with the guy who made them. Boot-making stories are nuts.
Sotto 13: nice, out-of-the-way spot in the West Village. Just opened. Diving into brunch already. Which is
great, because you’re a consummate brunch diver. Here, it’s tomatillo Bloodys, watermelon margaritas,
truffle pizzas and Italian crepes under a skylighted, brick-ovened fortress. Brunch be with you.

B BOYS
A House of Down-Under Style
You don’t know a lot about Australia, and what you do know came from “Crocodile” Dundee II.
Which is why you’ll further your education at this new Nolita spot, where everything—the Volley shoes,
the Driza-Bone jackets, the Vegemite—is Australian-made. We have no idea if that’s a desirable quality.
