A vintage ski lodge popped up in Columbus Circle—it’s called Hudson Lodge, and Perks is treating you to spiked hot cocoa and fondue. (Your next date deserves this.) We’re also connecting you with Tiki Barber for a game of flag football (seriously) and a handsome scotch locker at the Flatiron Room.
Shirts: there’s just nothing that does a better job covering your chest—which is so important in these colder months. In any event, we highly suggest heading here for some new ones. There’s also the odd wool trouser and bomber jacket, too. In case being fully clothed is a priority.
The Rolling Stones. They make music. Also: movies, occasionally. And regarding those, they’re pretty much all showing at MoMA over the next couple weeks. Gimme Shelter is a... gimme. But you’ll also see some obscure ’80s Keef cameos and some Scorsese-shot stuff. You may have noticed he’s a fan.
Ah, the old pop-up-barbecue-favorite-finds-a-real-home story. Always a heartwarming tale. And it just happens to be the tale of Briskettown, which we probably don’t have to tell you is your new Williamsburg go-to for tender, juicy smoked beef. There’s pie, too, but a place called Pieville might cause riots.
You’ve had the “prescription” cocktails at Apothéke. And the nonprescription red-snapper tacos at Pulqueria. And now, one of the siblings behind both places is doing a vegan café and juice bar. Expect egg-and-cashew-cheese sandwiches and juices with bell pepper and basil. And expect to like cashew cheese.
When you’re in the Hamptons, and you want sushi—say, some uni or ikura—you go to Sen. As of right now, that statement is irrelevant. Because Sen is opening in the friendly confines of Flatiron, which is much more November friendly. And, you know, December-through-May friendly, too.
