We’re hooking you up with the hottest ticket in town: Jay-Z at Carnegie Hall. (Including
the VIP after-party at the 40/40 Club.) We’ve also planned your (anti-)Valentine’s Day: a screening of
Fatal Attraction with dinner and cocktails. And we’re sending
lobster rolls to your office.
Hey, you’ve earned it.
You know how to make a mean grilled cheese. Unfortunately, you don’t keep much chèvre around the
home/office. So next time the craving hits for a super-fancy melt, you’ll call Little Muenster. They
deliver now. They also make grilled cheese nachos now. Just in time for the Super Bowl. And the Pro Bowl.

Our suggested date spot for this weekend: the old New York Mercantile Exchange building. Home run, we know.
But before you judge, it’s worth noting that the space has been turned into a hidden gallery of bizarre
art and long-lost antiques. Including Napoleon’s favorite chair. No, it didn’t come from Le Sharper
Image.
Apologies to milk, but there’s a better way to wash down cookies. Booze. See,
Jane’s Sweet Buns, the East Village bakery with the spiked pastries, now has a liquor license. And a
happy hour. So when you order The Old Fashion bun, it’ll come with a double chocolate stout. Yup,
that’ll do a body good, too.
The Smile is now doing takeout. Yes, we know what you’re thinking—they’re going to need a bigger
window. Or, you know, a second location dedicated strictly to carryout. Hence the new Howard Street spot.
It’s where you’ll turn when you want cheddar apple biscuits for brunch. On your couch.
We’re going to keep this really simple. Sunday. 7pm. Chelsea Market. There’s an honest-to-goodness chili
cook-off going down. The competitors: some of the best restaurants in the city (Gramercy Tavern,
Roberta’s). The refreshments: unlimited cold ones. Either you’re in, or you’re deathly allergic to
cornbread.
