A Sports-Gear Time Machine in the East Village
We’d like to take you back in time today.
Back to a golden era of high-top fades and snap-backed innocence.
But time machines won’t exist until 2134.
We know, because we came back in one.
But it broke.
But you can’t use it.
So this’ll have to do...
Welcome to Mr. Throwback
, a walk-in-closet-sized shrine of vintage ’80s and ’90s sports
ephemera, toys and random style treasures, now open in the East Village.
If someone organized your messy childhood bedroom, then tossed in some quality distressed leather
. A place where Shawn Bradley Nets jerseys, reversible Knicks/Mets leather jackets and vintage
bombers peacefully coexist.
