It looks like your typical Williamsburg watering hole.
A lot of beat-up wooden surfaces. Some old vinyl records lining the walls. A few festive ferns. (That’s right: festive ferns.) The kind of spot you’d find with a thatched roof in a land where rum and illicit substances are major exports. You know, like Williamsburg.
But it’s hiding a tiny indie rock and house music venue.
Cameo Gallery is located behind the space. There, you’ll catch a combo of before-they’re-cool bands and just-passing-through legends. (Frankie Knuckles spun here before shedding his mortal coil, and Bob Odenkirk has popped in to do comedy.)

There’s a cocktail called Losing My Edge.
The key ingredient: jalapeño-infused tequila. And yes, it’s named after the LCD Soundsystem song. All the drinks are named after songs by bands the owner is buddies with.
