A Tiny New LES Cocktail Den

You’re thirsty.

We’re thirsty.

So today, let’s just get right to it.

For we bear tidings from Nitecap, a tiny new underground cocktail spot from a murderers’ row of drinkmakers, now open just below Schapiro’s on the LES.

You need to know what you’re getting yourself into here. So here you have it...

They’ve put together a real all-star team.
A couple of folks from Death + Co. and Maison Premiere got this thing going, and they’ve also got someone from the NoMad behind the bar, just for good measure.

It’s not just cocktails.
Honor bars don’t really... exist anymore. Except here, where you can get the bottle of your choice, and drink of your own accord (for tough days).

But the cocktails are serious.
Maybe “serious” is the wrong word. There’s a two-scotch killer they devilishly prepare to look like a giant tropical embarrassment. It’s called Tartan Swizzle. But our immediate recommendation: the Moon Suit—calvados, apple brandy, absinthe and bitters. (Might want to only have one of those.)

You need to peruse the entire menu.
It’s got a late-night-specific drinks section, shorty service (shots-and-beers, only with sherry and cream ale), games and Rodney Dangerfield jokes.

Yes, the perfect menu.
