Fine and Dandy
Refinery Hotel’s Rooftop Hangout

... And that’s why you should get up on a roof and start drinking.

Oh, maybe you missed the first part of that.

It was great. Captivating, really. But you caught the important part...

So by all means, get to the Refinery Rooftop, a tripartite rooftop of feel-good cocktailery that’s open all damn year, starting tonight at Refinery Hotel in Midtown.

If you’re into vast quantities of lounging under the sun with shandies and perfect views of the Empire State Building, and you don’t discriminate against retractable glass roofs, head here.

There’re three distinct areas: a wooded indoor lounge with a fireplace, plenty of leather sofas and its own fountain; a bar area where the roof only exists when needed; and a porch-swing-adorned patio where summer may have been born.

And about that bar area—it’s fashioning homeopathic cocktails. All-natural ones that are designed to make you feel specific emotions and prevent you from feeling bad ones the next day. For example, the Luster—a cucumber-gin martini that evokes amorousness. Pair that with some short-rib-stuffed piquillos and a plate of baby octopus, and you’re feeling...

Just about how you’d expect.
