Art.World Is Tinder for Art Exhibits

Swipe Right if Their Work Speaks to You

Let’s see. Richard Prince. Swipe left.

Damien Hirst. Swipe left.

Ooh, Kara Walker. Swipe right.

That’s how you’ll treat exhibits using Art.World, a new Tinder-esque app directing you to nearby art shows based on your location and what you’re into, now online and available for iOS.

Netflix is good. Netflix is great. But sometimes you feel an internal demand for greater cultural enrichment. The kind that one finds at galleries and museums and in sizable, paint-splattered lofts where the rent is still bad, just not so bad.

Anyway, this app details art shows in 500 different cities. So if you live in one of them or are just visiting somewhere, it’ll be your guide to whatever exhibits are happening around town.

Just plug a city’s name or an artist’s name into the search bar. You’ll then be presented with a comprehensive list of the shows and venues around you.

If a particular exhibit or artist sounds appealing, just swipe right to stick it onto your city map. Or swipe left if you’re not really into them.

Rejection only fuels their artistic impulse.
