Wake and Shake
An Alarm That Requires You to Dance

Chances are, you use an alarm clock to get out of bed in the morning.
And chances are, you don’t have to dance around the room like ’90s Justin Timberlake to turn it
off.
Yet...
Prepare to cut a way-too-early rug with the
Dance Alarm Clock. It’s a new iPhone app that happens
to be the world’s first alarm clock to require you to bust some sort of move before it stops making noise,
available now.
The worm. The running man. The Kevin Bacon dancing around all mad in a warehouse in
Footloose...
These are now all acceptable means by which to get out of bed in the morning. Actually, they’re
required.
Because once you download this app and set the alarm, there’s no snooze button. No off button. No way to
silence the thing other than to get out of bed, stand in front of the camera lens (there’s a motion sensor
involved) and dance around all cold and vulnerable.
But hey, you’re dancing. Great way to start the day. Gets the blood pumping and whatnot. You can choose
songs from your own playlists and set background themes like “Disco Ball” and “Make It Rain.”
No, there’s no “Make It Stop.”
