Your Personal Songwriting Team Is Here

None Go ahead. Take your time. Enjoy Halloween.

But as soon as you slide off that satin scorpion jacket tonight, it’s here.

Gift-giving season.

Well, we found something that covers everyone on your list.

In song.

Introducing Your Personal Song, an anonymous group of Internet troubadours who’ll write songs about the people in your life, hovering sensitively over a pad of staff paper now.

Think of this as a combination of a homemade card, a heartfelt poem and Michael Bublé at his finest. It’s a song that incorporates your giftee’s name, a few things about them and the pop sensibilities of a young Neil Diamond—all by a group of future Grammy winners from Ingleside, Illinois.

You’ll give this to the person who has everything (except a song written about them). And as with any great art, you’ll get it from the Internet. Visit the site, choose a genre (note: their “rock” examples are John Mayer and Maroon 5). Give them some information on the person you’re gifting (hobbies, favorite things, especially favorable romantic proclivities) and one original lyric you want in the song. (“You can tell everybody that this is your song”: taken.)

In one to four weeks, you’ll have the song (in MP3 or CD form) and present it to that Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast you’ve been seeing.

If she uses it in her routine, all the better.
